ENVIRONMENTAL stakeholders in the country have asked the government to ensure that researchers and innovators of renewable energy are given priority and assistance.

The stakeholders expressed their unhappiness over devastation of the environment in which its impact has started to be seen including the increasing temperatures in some countries, citing India where people died because of the high temperature.

However, the government said innovation in energy generating is one of areas that generate jobs, increase productivity and alleviate poverty for bringing sustainable development.

It said that the community should change the focus and open the scope of the sensitivity to the positive eye because it provides a wide range of commercial and productive opportunities.

This was stated by Deputy Director General of Business Development Authority (TANTRADE), Ratifa Hamisi, on behalf of the Minister of State, Vice President's Office, Union and Environment, Mr January Makamba.

She was speaking yesterday during the Climate Change Forum on Trade Showers at Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF).

She said the government recognizes the presence of the various cadastics designers in the energy sector as one of the key players to address climate change impacts.

She clarified that the Climate Change Forum, which was developed by the FORUMCC Agency to provide energy education, she said the Government recognizes the challenges of environmental degradation and the effects of climate change to achieving country's goal to reach middle income economy.

"The Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Energy and Minerals has developed a program on energy development since 2016 ( Power System Master Plan (PSMP). This system focuses on economic growth and government policies and guidelines," she stated.

On his part, Acting Director of Rural Energy Agency (REA) Engineer Amos Magang recognized the contribution made by the university researchers and innovators in the country's development.

"Almost 20 projects REA has been able to assist various innovators in ensuring that they are doing their work properly and assist the country in various challenges," he said. There are programs that are ongoing that help various innovators.

At the same time the Director of ForumCC Agency Rebecca Muna has highlighted the importance of Tanzania's industries to develop confidence.

However, Mu has called on designers to see the potential of energy in this energy and the Government advised to start creating a positive environment for policy and legislation in nurturing and promoting innovative talent in this renewable energy sector. He insisted that "If these talents are developed for our designers we will be able to provide a very large amount of access to clean and safe energy for our industries in the country."

"Tanzania is a source of so much natural resources so that investments are made in such sources we have a great potential for producing energy, including animal droppings," he said.Adam Nalima, a student of Saint Joseph College, said they decided to come up with the idea of enabling them to improve the environment in the country that was the power of electricity through the energy of the sun and the wind at the same time.

She added that the use of renewable energy will significantly reduce the impact of climate change.

"These challenges have affected productivity in the agricultural sector which is a major contributor to industrial raw materials, water shortages that are used in manufacturing and the production of energy and the destruction of infrastructure that is used to combine raw materials, manufacturing and marketing, we believe the use of energy efficiency will help. substantially eliminate this climate of climate change, ”he said

He said the energy in Tanzania requires a detailed information system for the energy sector in order to identify future development strategies and to ensure policy makers and decision makers have accurate information about renewable energy.
