Dear Salseros,
It is with great sadness that I will have to say good bye to the salsa mailing list. I have been teaching salsa for the past four years and have been touched with the myriad of people I met and grown friendships with over that time. However, I am pleased that Salsa in Dar will be taken over by an energetic threesome:
Robert- Dutch, Pilot who has been with us since the inception and even had his baby girl Roxy with his lovely wife Fortunate become a significant part of the salsa movement in Dar.
Stuart- Tanzanian, Accountant by profession, a patient and thorough salsa teacher, and a veteran of Salsa in Dar.
Angela- Tanzanian, a great Lawyer, sassy and powerful force to reckon with on the dance floor.
I will be in London from September to November 2011 working at Slaugher and May and Diageo Africa (part of a scholarship through International Lawyers for Africa). So if you are in that part of town, please look me up as I will be looking for salseros to partner up with! I will then be back home for Christmas (so look out for a salsa party) and then I will be moving to Johannesburg in January/February of 2012, again...looking for salseros, so please feel free to contact me on lotusmenezes@hotmail.com.
I have every confidence that salsa will continue to grow and shape part of our culture in Dar es Salaam.
