His Excellency Eng. John William Herbert Kijazi, on 27 May 2013, presented his letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Tony Tan Keng Yam at the Official President’s Residence - The Istana.

High Commissioner Kijazi conveyed to his Excellency the President of the Republic of Singapore cordial regards from His Excellency the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.High Commissioner Kijazi expressed his commitment to ensure that the bilateral relations between Tanzania and Singapore further increase during his tenure as the High Commissioner of Tanzania to Singapore. He also thanked the Government of Singapore for the different training courses offered to Tanzania by Singapore for many years now under the Singapore Cooperation Program.
His Excellency President Tony Tan Keng Yam stated that the accreditation of Ambassador Kijazi to Singapore will further strengthen the existing warm and cordial relations between Singapore and Tanzania.

His Excellency Ambassador Kijazi is the High Commissioner of Tanzania to India and also accredited to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Nepal.
