Something unsual was seen in the skies of Dar on 9th January 2009 at 7.40pm by Mr. Sujit Bhojak (pictured), a renowned graphic designer in Tanzania, and owner of Aquarius advertising ltd along Sewa street.
He says: “As usual I was standing in my balcony on 4th floor from where I see huge area of sky till Indian ocean and suddenly my eyes caught attention on an unusual flying object in the sky, which was so bright and was flying at an usual speed compared to normal planes which leave long trails behind.
“The lights were not blinking like normal airplanes, so I shouted to my whole family to witness the same, for few seconds no one understood what it is, and I shouted my wife to get my Sony handy cam, DCRSR62 which has a very powerful with 2000x zoom.“I managed to record about 3-4 seconds of that rapid flying bright object on video and then it just disappeared behind the clouds.
“On 10th Jan 09, I checked on the UFO sighting website, and to my surprise I found that a similar object was caught on video in Scotland on the very same day too.I am not a UFO geek and what I saw was a mystery and I don’t go out looking for flying saucers or aliens. But for now, I will live with it and feel good about something I caught on my camera in my life in Tanzania.

Anon #1 na #3 UFO haina uhusiano wowote na yaliyoandikwa ktk biblia. Hapa Marekani hizi So-called UFO things yameshatokea miaka ya 1960s na kuna ubishano mkubwa kati ya Serikali na walioshuhudia vituko hivyo vya UFO.Inaaminika UFO ni Viumbe toka katika Sayari nyingine zinazozunguka Jua.

ReplyDeleteWhat you saw was most likely to be the Hubble Space Telescope.
Occasionally the man-made satellites orbiting our planet can be visible to the naked eye in the evening sky. This happens because, although on the surface of the Earth we no longer can see the sun, far up there around 40,000kms up, the sun rays can hit and be reflected brightly from an object that happens to be passing by.
I was fortunate to see the now-defunct MIR Space Station from Dar one evening and, as you describe, if glows brightly and moves much faster than any airplane, and smoothly disappears without leaving any trace of its passage.
At the time I knew what it was because I was tracking the MIR on the web, and was able to know exactly at what time and location in the Dar skies it would appear.
Before assuming you've seen a UFO, perhaps you could check the web for any satellites that may have been visible at the time and co-ordinates of your sighting. Just use Google with "satellite tracker" to choose a site.
Here is how I found that the Hubble Space Telescope may be visible in Dar these days:

Whether it's Jesus, or aliens, whatever and whoever that can come to teach us on how to live together in peace and harmony, I'm down with it. I'm not clean myself (how could I be with all temptations around me?), but I'm sure I will embrace Jesus when he comes back.

ReplyDeleteIf there is anything like UFOs and aliens surely their technology is very advanced.The so called UFOs hardly give out any kind of noises....they appear and disappear in American skies more oftenly.The Us govt has even attempted chasing after and shooting thse flying objects proving failure to do so because UFOs tend to disappear into thin air.

ReplyDeletemwisho wa dunia utafika when we are done messing up our natural resources and nothing to do na what the bilble or quran says kuwa sijui majengo marefu yakianza kujengwa etc. I think that there has to be life on other planets even if it is not the same as ours or is not the way we see it and so yes some may be advanced to be spying on us etc. with tanzania though i would guess that it is more likely the us or such spying on us than a ufo but yes you never know
