ReplyDeleteIwapo uchumi wa marekeani umeanguka na unaendelea kuanguka basi hilo linawezekana, kwani kuwa super power ni uwezo wa kifedha na kiuchumi, sio ukubwa wa vitongoji na maneno mengi. Ni uchumi tu baba, sasa hata Uchina au nchi yoyote hata irani uchumi wake ukiizidi Marekani, badi Marekani inaweza kupigwa chini katika mambo mengi.

ReplyDeleteI've seen all your comments, They are very attractive in equal measure but remember every thing now is debatable...China might have a point which seemed awkward but before criticing China, try to learn what NEW WORLD ORDER mean, then you'll understand what China is trying to figure out.
I'm not in favour of single currency but i'm sure China are trying to be ahead of World superpower by bringing their hiden agenda in air.
If you could truly learn what UK under Godorn Brown is trying to advocate then debate about Chinas' proposal should be looked in different way compared to how we're responding to the matter.
I know it is hard for everyone to think as it is hard to swallow but i'm sure the World has gone from what passived impossible to be possible, be it in Euro currency to civil partnership and in the end we are all in for it.
These other things are not so attractive but as far as the Global crisis is concern, they are debatable.
I remember when Euro was about to be introduced, these unthinkable things as alot of people tried to opinion above were put on the table and were resolved and now there is a talk of UK joining the EURO currency, they are trying to dismiss it but you can see how the POUND looks today compared to EUR...it's appalling.
So is not the question of dismissing the idea but is the question of arguing by puting counter argument which is professional and put consideration to the World Interdependance and if you go in details you'll find that China and US are depending on each other more than before AD MORE THAN MOST NATIONS IN THE WORLD.

Why do you think mrs hillary clinton has been visiting them often these past months it is because america owes them a lot and they are at their mercy and they are trying to negotiate a way to setlle the trillion of dollars that america owes china. China knows they cant pay them back and so they are negotiating a way to own investment like infrastructure and land in america in exchange for the debt. ReplyDeleteAn excellent idea by Mr. Zhou Xiaochuan using the IMF’s Special Drawing Right (SDR) like the functioning of the European Currency Unit ( ECU ) created by Valéry Giscard d’Estaing and Helmut Schmidt that lead to the EU.
Is anyone ever think that the U.S. takes for granted the dominance of its currency to vent its domestic crisis to other countries?
The truth is no any Country has ever kept its currency as the global reserve for long. The holder always spends too much as the temptation to print money for the sake of paying off their own debt. This is the history of fiat money in a nutshell. Something like the SDR or perhaps gold is the only way forward.
Well, we all grasp mentally that China has huge reserved funds, and you know what ?, it shrinks to about a half of its real value as the dollar disparage with Yuan.
Americas reaction to this situation needs to be closely analyzed over the next few years as China will not let this one go easily if they think they are going to loose what’s owed by American Government.
This is long overdue perhaps a more encompassing system would be far better than the current scheme with China's backing & America's current vulnerability, and seems to be an ideal time to act and should make an interesting discussion and indefinite conclusion.

ReplyDeleteGuys, this currency resolution has been proposed before, perhaps in the 1970s.And it was Russia's idea originally, and now that the Chinese realize they cannot diversify away from the US economy, they want a global currency. However, what I'm sure of is this would take far too long, and the question is what's the point of having a global currency without a matching government? Uh-oh..
I don't see how this is going to resolve the issue of one currency being the dominant one. Because there is always going to be few powerful nations who will exercise influence over the others unless everybody has equal stake in them which will make it more unstable and so the one world currency will pave the way to one world government.
SDR is fraught with too many technical and practical difficulties to replace a real currency, including the selection of currencies, their share and frequency of review. An increased role of Euro is a far better alternative that driving Europeans in same wavelength at least for now.
If China had a floating currency, the trade imbalance between would not have been so great. China is biting the hand that feeds it and can no longer save the world as it is obvious that The Chinese economy is slowing down sharply after almost 30 years of growth and the effects are being felt on the streets.
For instance, two-thirds of small factories making toys for export have closed in the first nine months of last year (2008). Falling demand and tough new products safety rules in Europe and America but Africa means many will never reopen.
According to one article from Nikkei weekly newspaper(Japanese wall street kinda of) that I read few month ago, The value of the yuan, which has risen some 20% against the dollar since 2005, has leveled off and may decline. Foreign buyers say China’s cost advantage has already been eroded
The media has been awful in reporting on the global economy. That so many people still believe that "Europe is OK, the US is a disaster and Asia is rising" highlights just what a poor job the media has done. In fact the US now looks best placed and the worst hit are export driven Asian nations and China in particular.

ReplyDeletenataka tu kumtaarifu huyo anayesema "california ingekua nchi tajiri dunia namba mbili" ya kuwa california imefilisika hivi sasa the state of california is officially broke and bankrupt they have been reducing work hours for government workers to cut down expenses and also may delay state tax returns and offer the people of california IOU's instead. From april 1st they are also raising the sales tax to combat this issue and they are also thinking of legalizing marijuana and taxing it as a measure to build funds so go figure. Do not equate hollywoodism and celebritism with how rich california is.
