The late Andrew Kitenge Mangenya


The leadership of Association of Tanzanians in Birmingham, Alabama (JUTABI), together with the families of Mang’enya and Lubala would like to announce a sudden death of their beloved ANDREW KITENGE MANG’ENYA.




Andrew passed away suddenly on Friday August 7th 2009. Arrangements are being made to transport his body to Tanzania. As a community of Tanzanians living in Birmingham and the family we will kindly appreciate your support of any kind.




We will be having a fundraising event on Tuesday August 11, 2009 at 6:00pm

    Hatukuwahi kukutana lakini tuliongea kwenye simu mara kadhaa kuhusu issues tofauti za kimaisha na kila mara tulipokukuwa tunaongea..u was always optimistic and u kept it real..rest in peace my brother will mourn u till i join.     Poleni sana wafiwa Jamani ,hawa Mang'enya na wafahamu na nimekaa Msassani road ,Oysterbay , ni hao wa pale Hailleselassie road jirani na IST? mbona huyu simkumbuki

    Nakumbuka kuna Easter ,Sophia and John , ila kweli na kumbuka kuna kaka yao mmoja alikuwa mkubwa sikumbuki jina au ndio huyu ,ila kitu kama alikuwa naitwa Peter, jamani nime sikitika .

    Jamani na kama wenginge hamkupata taarifa kijana mwingine wa Oysterbay ,alikua anaitwa Daniel Laizer ,aliye kulia Mtaa wa Bongoyo,oysterbay ,naye alifariki kama week chache zilizo pita

    The sad news of an untimely death of our beloved, Andrew Mang’enya, reached us with shock and disbelief.

    Our great sympathy to the family, friends, and all the Birmingham folks who are certainly going through a rough time, now.

    I knew Andrew thru a very close friend whom they are related. We use to communicate so much though have'nt seen each other. Andrew, was a young man full of life and detarmination. I was shocked to hear that he has left us without saying "good bye".
    Andrew, "you are at the better place now where there is peace and joy always, a place called HEAVEN". We'll miss you so much, but believe to see you when our days are numbered here on earth.
    My condolences to all his relatives and family in US and Tanzania.
    May Our Lord, comfort and grant y'all, peace and courage.

    If there was a sad and unbelievable news in My LIFE, Is when I heard the news that Andrew Mang'enya is dead.It took me days and days to accept that It is true that The information I am receiving is a real one.I scared even to tell any body about this for fearing that it might be not true.Now After I have talked to the closest relative and friends, even going home where all people of TZs gethered together for mourning, It was when I agreed that Oh! My dearest, lovely, kind friend Andrew has died. My dearest brothers and sisters,We are all walking, living and at the same time we are dead. Mr. Andrew personaly to me was a great advisor in my life, encouraging guy, whenever I use to meet him he would joke, and give me a word of encouraging to win what am struggling for future life.He could give me an advice which I could not even think about it, he wished a good future for me, he gave me difference ways on what to do when am approaching difference staffs in order to win the battle.
    Last time,few weeks ago, I talked to him through a phone about a very important issues, we agreed to find a time and finish our conversation, but death has taken him before we met.Personally, I am so wounded. There is nothing we can do about it, because we all are going in the same placed where our fellow has gone, Except what we can say is:" God had given to us,and so God have taken to him,Let the name of almight God be Glorified AMEN" Poleni sana ndugu wa Andrew, kwa msiba mkubwa huu, alikuwa na upendo sana huyu Kaka, hana makuu, mpole mcheshi, na mwenye determination kubwa kimaisha.Nami nimemkosa mtu niliye mtegemea kwa mambo Mengi.
