East African Debate, John Mashaka is Wrong
As a world renowned economics from one of the most prestigious world Universities, community college in Washington DC, I am glad to get a chance to expose the intellectual wanna be, politician and a philanthropist. John Mashaka is absolutely wrong and should fear in Tanzanian society because he is a smart young man who knows how to manipulate his readers regarding the East African debate, and me and US- Blogger wants to debate Mr. Mashaka in the TBC- Radio and Clouds FM and also in TV as well.
John Mashaka is forgetting the reality that, the world is now one and no single nation can do without the other. We should not blame Kenyan’s or Even Ugandans for Tanzanians stupidity. Mashaka should blame the corruption in Tanzania. If Tanzanians don’t know what to do with their land, then let Kenyans utilize it. If Tanzanians speak Kanumba style, then let Kenyan’s take their Jobs. This is how economics work.
The famous John Mashaka is a rogue and corupt lawyer from Durham, and Economics who learnt not how to defend his clients, but how to brain wash people. He is a typical politician and Nyerere look alike who is trying to brain wash Tanzanians so he can become the future ruler. All I can say is that, he has no ability to lead a country, and very full of himself, has he is enjoying being called Mesiah, Nabii and genius by his dumb followers. He needs a religion to lead not a country.he think he can be like Obama but he cant
Mashaka is forgetting that, Kenyans are our neighbors and good brothers, who can defend us if our country is attached. Our teachers are mainly Kenyans, our businesses are mainly run by Kenyans who give up jobs, and that is why our country is developing so rapidly, they have also advertised Mount Kilimanjaro for us. Kenya factories produce our cooking oil, bathing soaps and clothes. Tanzania factories died long time ago while mashaka is living in the United States making the money, and the world economy goes into recession because of their greed. He is part of the corruption in walls-street. and Dr. US- Blogger pointed this issue that mashaka is corruption and that is why he dont want debates with him because he know us-blogger is clever chap
Mashaka does not write anything new, he is manipulating people because he knows better English, and has exposing from working with wall-street and getting to work with the reach whites in the corporation America elite, he is therefore elitist who should not advise anybody about east Africa treaty. Mashaka want to come back to Tanzania to become the prime minister. But if prefer Riziwani to be the prime minister and not mashaka, because riziwani is more cleaver, and in CCM.
Now East Africa treaty should go on, and signed by botht he presidents of all counties for rapid growth in the community, without mashaka, because if you elect him, he will refuse it and make our country to be economic launching pad for America and wall-street who are making the darling because he is the only black from Tanzania . riziwani can read Tanzania better than mashaka , because riziwani already is living in the state house where his father is controlling the country. Mashaka is a child of a farmer from musoma who is become elitist education from america, and does not know tanzania but poem english.

As long as you belong to the elites ur life is solved. Its amazing how Joseph criticizes Mashaka and still recommend another elite to go for power. Phew! ReplyDeleteI think there is a conflict of interest between John Mashaka and Joseph Hikalimba. It seems that Joseph is trying to do "settlement of accounts" or in french "Reglement de Comptes".
ReplyDeleteThey way Joseph argues (and the english used) does not convince me or any reasonable person that he is a world reknown economist from one of the world "prestigious universities".
Mentioning Riziwani is like bringing monarchy to Tanzania. Moreover, staying in the state house, as a son or daughter of president, is not (and shall never be) a qualification for being a President or Prime Minister of a country.
What is wrong in bringing Wall Street to Tanzania or taking Tanzania to the Wall Street?
It is also not true that Kenyans have ever advertised Mt. Kilimanjaro for Tanzania. They always say it is in Kenya, etc.

Emagine in order to be recognised by the world economy the country has to have exports, we do not have enough Exports thats why we are even on the group of one of the most poorest country.
If we can import toilet soaps ,cooking oil,biscuits,toys,drinking water, juice,rice, wheet,do not you think that we have problems we need to look at before geting into the comunity with tilted balance. we have everything to develope, we were once the Largest producer of sisal,Clove,etc where are now. we are sorrounded by 3 big lakes and the sea on the other side, but we import juice from UAE Deserted country. Be serious we have problems my dear.

Don't know Mashaka have read his posts and seen him but I personally think this was too much attack on him.Again you have a point in a way but u seem to be supporting CCM in which I have no problem with that but have a doubt.
ReplyDeleteComing to my point of view of mashaka he is really looking forward into some political post that's obvious.I wish Tanzanians could help their fellows without seeking something in return,but this will never happen.We appreciate Mashaka's contributions and success but again we doubt of his interests.Some of his arguments aren't logically based too I agree.And there is something in him just smthing that I wonder if others see, again I don't know him but I doubt if he is down to earth and I believe he is arrogant.Let's learn from Nigerians lots of them in Wall Street but nope not Mashaka's type.Helooooo not the only African in wall street remember.

what does it mean to be a Tanzanian speaking Kanumba Style? who is Riziwani? and what do other personalities have to do with the so called east african treaty?

ReplyDeleteI find Article not educative on the effects of rushed Economic Intergration.The comments are focused on one person who wrote a previous article.
ReplyDeleteMy knowledge in Trade tells me that the process of Intergration needs to follow the steps of Free Trade Area,Custom Union,Common Market and Economic Intergration.In advancing to every new step proper economic analysis needs to be done to see if the concerned countries benefited in the previous step.This has not been well done in East African Community.No proper analysis has been done on what Tanzania has benefited in the customs Union but we are already talking of common market and economic intergration.This is wrong in my view.
On the other hand it is clearly known that the customs Union has benefitted Kenya in terms of economy than anyone else because of its comparably more advanced industrial establishment.In this case Kenya has used well its Comparative Advantage as it has assurance of its industrial market which eventually will expand its economy.What has Tanzania benefitted from the custom union?Mostly cheaper products from Kenya which we could eventually get from somewhere else in a good bilateral agreement.Not much more in terms of the economy.
Putting land into the discussion,land is for agriculture.Tanzania has a potential comparative advantage in agriculture if it only had good agri processing industry.It can develop one with time.
Simply agreeing to let Kenyans and others to own our land in the Common market is a mistake because if we give rights to land to others what will be our advantage in the deal?
Trade liberalization means all sides should benefit according to their comparative advantages and factor endowments.If this is not happening then that is not a fair deal.
Being in an economic intergration does not mean that you automatically benefit.You must be smart when you are getting into that.
Due to above explanations I am afraid that I have to side more with what Mashaka wrote(although not 100%) than the writer of this article.
I think countries are supposed to be objective when entering these deals.It is not proper to just accept someone to come to your country and take your land while you potentially have comparative advantage in the same land.
Common markets all over the world have conditions.Even in the EU they have conditions and limitations.If Tanzania is not ready to give in on land issue within the common market then this should be respected as land is not the only factor of production which can be agreed on in the Common market.
CONDITIONS MUST BE THERE IN ANY TRADE LIBERALIZATION DEAL.

Mashaka said he isn’t against Federation; rather we should be careful when dealing with our neighbors who are land hungry. Instead the “economics” has been emphasizing about the character assassination. How does the issue of corrupt lawyer fits in the debate? Did he mentioned in the article that he want to be the president? Or he was comparing himself with or mimic Obama?
Mr. “economics”, I kindly advice you to refrain yourself from baseless accusations which may land you in court should the accused person decide. In future, you should argue and not shout. Put down your points clearly like a learned person. Otherwise, from what you have just written, we readers are seriously questioning your intellectual capacity as well as integrity!

KTK NCHI ZA ULAYA TOFAUTI ZA NAMNA HII PRACTICALY HAZIPO na hivyo nirahisi kufikia malengo yao tofauti na jamii za kiafrika.
SULUHISHO-kupitia elimu sahihi ambayo itavunja mila na jadi zisizo faa,na kulenga kujenga mila mpya na tamaduni mpya ndani ya kila nchi,au kujenga tawala ndogondogo zenye mila na tamaduni za aina moja tangu asili na kupenyeza miundo mbinu na teknolojia za kisasa ktk jamii husika kwa kutumia watu wanye elimu ya kisasa wanaotokea ktk maeneo hayo husika.hii inaweza kujenga himaya ndogondogo zenye nguvu ya kiuchumi.lakini hatari yake ni kuwa umoja wa kitaifa utakuwa mashakani kisiasa kama baadhi ya jamii zitaona zinahitaji kujitenga na kuwa na mfumo wao kivyao wa kisiasa.
2.mgawanyiko na makundi haya madogo ya jamii yanapelekea kujitokeza kwa matatizo yafuatayo ktk ngazi ya kitaifa:
-uwajibikaji hafifu,haki duni za kiuchumi na kutokuwepo uwiano sawa ktk kushiriki ktk maendeleo ya kitaifa na hata jumuiya ya afrika mashariki.
-kukosekana kwa utawala unao heshimu sheria na utii mdogo wa sheria za nchi,yaani watu wanatii kwa sababu tu sio kwamba ni vyema na uungwana kutenda,bali kwa sababu wanaogopa kuadhibiwa.
-hakuna/utiliaji mdogo kipaumbele ktk kujenga na kuendeleza kwa vitendo mifumo ya kidemokrasia ndani ya nchi wanachama wa jumuiya
-utunzaji hafifu wa amani ndani ya jamii husika na utulivu(stability) kupitia/kwa njia ya kuheshimu na kuupa kipau mbele ujirani mwema ndani ya jamii zilizo ktk nchi husika.
-mifumo hafifu ya utatuaji migogoro ndani ya jamii za nchi wanachama.
NINI BASI KINAHITAJIKA ZAIDI KWA SASA KUFANYWA NA NCHI WANACHAMA?
1.kujaribu kutengeneza na kuzitekeleza sera kwa ajili ya kuinua uzalishaji wa viwanda(manufacturing,processing and agro-industries) ili kujenga ushindani wa bidhaa ambazo ni msingi wa biashara kati ya mataifa ya jumuiya hii,na itafungua milango ya kutumia rasilimali,kutengeneza ajira zaidi na kuongeza kipato kwa wananchi ndani ya kila taifa husika.

It is obvious from your writing that your community college has not benefited you much! Especially when you can't even use spell check when writing your nonsense! If I was you I would have been ashamed to give out my real name after writing such "ukurutu"! I myself as an intellectual Tanzanian would never debate with an idiot like you because you have no intellect and obviously no any economic sense whatsoever. No one in their right sense would "prefer" Kenyans and Ugandans to take over Tanzania's land and jobs just because they can! Learn to be proud of your country and most importantly learn to defend it! You might not like Mashaka but at least he can debate using supported research findings about his country compared to your rumbling that has no substance. But my dear, you were supposed to say that you are an economist, not economics. Economics is a study and economist is a professional. And dont lie to people, Community college is not a University. I happen to be an assistant professor to both University and community college, they are not the same! You dont get a degree from a Community college, you graduate with an associate degree.
