Karagwe Media Association (KAMEA) is a Non–Governmental voluntary organization based in Karagwe District of the United Republic of Tanzania .

One of the KAMEA’s objectives is to fill in the media communication gap so as to foster social, economic, and cultural development.

KAMEA is urgently looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following posts:-

RADIO MANAGER ( 1 POST)

The radio manager shall be employed by the Radio Board and be responsible for day-to-day operations of the radio.

The responsibilities of the radio manager are
1. To advise the Radio Board on matters related to operations of the
radio station
2. To implement decisions of the Radio Board regarding matters of
policy and staff recruitment
3. To represent the Radio Board at various forums
4. To manage field correspondents and salaried staff to achieve
maximum efficiency within the set budget

Requirements
Be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 25- 40 years.

A minimum of one year in radio management position or any other related field for at least one year

Having a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication , Journalism and or Community Development Self motivated

Good knowledge of the output of the radio and its aims and objectives
Excellent communication skills


PRODUCER (1 POST)

The producer shall be employed by the Radio Board and be answerable to the Radio Manager

The responsibilities of the producer are
1. To ensure that the content in aired programs are of high quality
2. To train presenters and reporters
3. To edit programs according to the radio’s ethic & code of conducts
, radio policies and customer needs .
4. To produce programs for special target groups (farmers, youth,
children, women, men , people with disabilities and elderly people.)
5. To ensure correct use of equipment
6. To keep records of aired programs and to ensure radio regulations
and policies are adhered to.
7. To secure backup of records as per Tanzania Communication
Regulatory Authority (TCRA)
8. To report to the radio manager
Requirements
Be a Tanzanian citizen
Age ( 25- 40 years )
5. A minimum of 1 year experience as journalist and/or broadcaster,both in originating material and editing the work of others.

Having a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication.
Self motivated

MARKETING OFFICER (Sales Person) – 1 Post

The marketing Officer shall be employed by the Radio Board

The responsibilities of the marketing manager are
1. To follow the guidelines laid out in the marketing strategy
2. To identify customers, who can fit into the program policy of the radio
3. To design and market new ways to bring advertisements
4. To develop contracts with customers to be presented and signed by
the radio manager
5. To present the radio for the listener’s forum, establish new
listener’s groups.
6. To design marketing materials (posters, pamphlets etc.)
7. To develop happenings in the villages to raise awareness around the radio
8. To keep records of customers and contracts
9. To report to the radio manager
10. Arranging meetings with staff members on the day to day radio
programs implementation.

Requirements
Be a Tanzanian citizen
Age ( 25- 40 years )
Experience with Marketing ( Some one with experience in Media
Marketing will be an added advantage )
Having a Minimum diploma in marketing.
