The world is becoming a global village and certainly Tanzania is not immune to global trends and forces. Having opened its doors for the inpouring of foreign direct investments, one thing is for sure - foreign investors will not only bring their bags of money, they will also come along with their cultural orientation.
As culture sets expectations, attitudes, etc, it is imperative that we explore whether Tanzanians are not only aware, but well prepared for a cultural transformation.
Our guest on the show will be Professor Joseph Mbele. Professor Mbele is an Associate Professor of English and Folklore at St. Olaf College, located in Northfield Minnesota. Professor Mbele is also an author, blogger and a folklorist.
RADIO MBAO REAL LIFE GOSPEL SHOW THIS SUNDAY 10/03/2010 @04:00PM - 06:00PM EST
THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER
(WHY DO WE NEED TO PRAY NOW?)
One of the American presidents once said this; “I am sustained by the prayers of the people in this country. I guess an appropriate way to say this, it's one of the beautiful things about America and Americans from all walks of life is that they're willing to pray for the President and his family. And that's powerful. It's hard for me to describe to you what that means. It's a leap of faith to understand.”
Why would a leader of such a great nation speak publicly on the importance of prayer? What is the meaning of prayer and who is supposed to pray. Do we need to pray for our families, communities, leaders and nations? Should we pray for this years elections? Why? Who qualifies to pray? How are we supposed to pray? The word of God says, “pray without ceasing”. Why?
You will hear all this and more as you join our guest, pastor David Mngodo of USA at your REAL LIFE live show at www.radiombao.com this Sunday October 3rd, 2010 @ 04:00pm EST (11:00pm Tanzanian time). Great worship music will be played in Swahili and in English. Please make time for this great moment.
