The Tanzanian High Commissioner HE Peter Kallaghe was the guest of honour at an exhibition dedicated to the promotion of education in Tanzania. This exhibition was staged by Community Projects Africa- UK charity provides support for improvised people living in East Africa predominantly Tanzania.
They work with village elders and councils in community projects that provide schooling, vocational training, sanitisation and safe water supplies.
Their mission is to develop the capability of people within disadvantaged and marginalised communities by enhancing educational attainment so that they may have the opportunity to socially and economically participate fully in society.
This exhibition of photographs from Tanzania was supported Thomson Reuters, Charity Challenge, Gulf for Good, Mercury, Gane and Marshal, OMG, Decorder, EVPA, BDO. The photographers were Lucy McCrickard, Sarah Bradley, Lis Parsons, Alwyn Coates and other volunteers.
The auction of these photographs raised funds to support the building of community projects including schools in Tanzania.
