Tanzania open film festival is a commitment to film presentation as a way to examine, reflect, and celebrate diversity, while challenging existing stereotypes, and facilitating cultural dialogue.
A big number of Bongo filmmakers attend each year to talk to audiences about their work and the screenings are accompanied by a variety of complementary events such as discussions, master classes, seminars and music events.
Bongo Filmmakers and Movie stars travel with their films to present their work, engage in question and answer sessions, meaningful one-on-one discussions, panels, master classes, and workshops.
Films are showcased in an open space called Tangamano in the Tanga Municipality. Filmmakers connect with audiences and open doors to new ideas, stories, and perspectives.The Tanzania Open Film Festival is also a meeting point for audiences with eager for enjoyment and specifically for sponsor marketing ground, to come together and celebrate, the ideal place for doing business, marketing product and making contacts.
The seven-day event held i screens dozens of films from all over the country, including short documentaries and features. It was founded in 2009 by Musa Kissoky, CEO of Sofia production.
Since its inception the festival has achieved major Artistic Cinematography and Public success in providing a relaxed ambience to enjoy good movie good music and taking you far away from the cities hustle and bustle.
This year’s festival will feature a selection of the biggest names in cutting-edge Music, from Baikoko, Kibakata, Msanja, you name it, Without forgetting Top Rank movies, including those which have made headlines in the Movie industry.
TOFF will also provides a stage for established as well as developing talent, creating a fusion of music influence with the very best act. It is also a platform for the exposure of local arts, crafts and culture with discussion panel, workshops and exhibitions of original works of art which will begin at noon subsequently followed by live performances from a number of artists and a the movie of every day showings.

The 3rd annual festival will be held from 27june - 3july this year in a stunning location 'kule mapenzi yalikozaliwa' Tanga Municipal city: a place to Mingo, a place to make friends and fall in love with nature; where one can spend a week self-abandoned, where parties await the inquirer.
