
The summit will be Chaired by Prime Minister of India, Dr Man Mohan Singh. As concurrent activities with Forum Summit, Ministry of External Affairs, India is organizing cultural activities to be participated by more than 12 African nations along with large troupe from India.
Tanzanian troupe that will reach Addis on 14th May will share stage with 9 other African and Indian dance troupes. All teams along with one from Tanzania will perform traditional dance styles.
The THT team will perform 7 times in a period of four days from 20-23rdMay. Before this from 15th – 19thMay all the team will be engaged in individual and group rehearsal. The performances will be witnessed by all international community all over the world.
Embassy of India in Addis Ababa has done arrangements for full hospitality for all the participating teams.
In addition to this, a 3 days Media Symposium and 6 days Interactive Craft Meet “ Handicrafting Hope- Gender Empowerment through Crafts” also being held, all organized by Ministry of External Affairs, India. Two journalists and two craftswomen from Tanzania, all sponsored by High Commission of India, Dar Es Salaam are participating in the events.
