I am glad to introduce to you Miss Nishi Agrawal, an experienced and knowledgeable individual in the Business and IT consultancy sector. She is in the process of establishing a social enterprise project in Tanzania and as a matter of identifying and using the many talents that Tanzanians posses, she would like to network and possibly meet with the interested parties to discuss this issue in greater detail.

If you think this is something that can benefit you then I have included a short description below as well as contact details if you need further information.

Having lived and studied in Tanzania for much of my teenage years I have a natural connection to the country and the continent, at large. Over the past few years I have been very keen to be more involved in initiatives that would help unlock the availability of resources for Micro and Small / Medium Enterprises esp. those that are more rurally located. The movement and expansion of the Telecoms and IT sectors has provided me with a perfect opportunity.

With this in mind I am keen to return to TZ and develop an initiative that will allow me to utilise my skills within Business and IT and develop a Social Enterprise that will provide international standard “hands-on” training to either recent graduates and / or those who have been in work for a few years and are keen to move into and develop skills in Management Consulting.

The programmes primary goal will be to train the team to utilise these skills to help develop the MSME sector in Tanzania and provide young businesses with greater opportunities in areas, such as: funding from Financial institutions to better understanding and management of their own businesses.

The programme requires initial funding to be fully functional with 2-4 hires by Jan 2012 when, newly graduated; young Tanzanians will be entering the job market. I am, therefore, very keen to connect with Tanzanians both in-country and internationally based to utilise their networks to help promote the proposition and provide advice and guidance where possible to ensure the initiative is a success.

I am very keen to meet and discuss the opportunity in greater detail with interested individuals or groups over the coming days / weeks and may be contacted on nishiagrawal@tiscali.co.uk .

Through Tanzania Association in the UK, Nishi believes she can get to know Tanzanians and discover the talents and channels necessary to make this a long term and successful project.
