SBL yazindua mpango wa Maombi kwa ajili ya ufadhili wa masomo kupitia EABL Foundation 2011

Mkurugenzi wa Uhusiano na Mawasilino wa Kampuni ya Bia ya Serengeti (SBL) Teddy Mapunda akionesha fomu ambayo wanafunzi wanaotaka kupatiwa ufadhili wa kusomeshwa kupitia kampuni hiyo chini ya taasisi ya EABL Foundation kwa mwaka 2011 kwa wanahabari jijini Dar es Salaam leo wakati wa uzinduzi wa mpango huo wa maombi ya ufadhili wa masomo ya elimu ya juu nchini.

Serengeti Breweries Limited Launches EABL Foundation 2011 scholarship application drive

Dar es Salaam, Monday 12^th September 2011, Serengeti Breweries Limited has announced the commencement of this year’s scholarship application drive.

The scholarship program is open to bright but needy students across the region wishing to study Business, Information Technology, Engineering and Food Science. This scholarship covers tuition, books, accommodation, allowances and a mentorship programme for those students that are awarded.

“We are very conscious of the essential role education plays in the communities in which we operate. We are not only empowering people but also investing in their future and that of their communities,” said Serengeti Breweries Limited Corporate Relations Director, Teddy Mapunda.

EABL Foundation has been sponsoring Tanzania students from the year 2005 and to date we have 20 students sponsored by the foundation.

For the year 2011 we hope to shortlist 10 students in this interview and award 4 full scholarships which include tuition, accommodation and some allowances. We have invested an average of TSHS 140 Million so far in this programme in Tanzania.

The scholars would be students that have received admission letters to University of Dar es salaam and Mzumbe studying, B.com, Engineering, Food Science and IT related degree courses. This is in line with our business focus areas making easier for us to mentor them during their internship. Last year we received more than 500 applications.

Currently Serengeti Breweries Limited has recruited 7 fresh graduates who are working for the company in different department.
