After getting its license to operate as a network operator in Tanzania in 2009, and providing services in timely and fashioned manner to Corporate, Government, NGO’s and Civilian clients in the country, Benson Informatics Limited has launched its 1st GSM call at its premises at Mikocheni on 10th October.
Benson Informatics Limited, a multi-disciplinary communication company has joined other multinational company in the GSM world by launching its first GSM call with the aim of providing state of the art technology in telecommunication products and services, while creating a loyal subscriber base by delivering the best service for all Tanzanians, focusing on the concept of customer service and service quality, and innovative service to make Tanzanians life easier.
Speaking during press conference held at BOL premises on 10th October, Mr Nizar Abdou (Benson Informatics CEO) had this to say “We are pleased to inform our esteemed clients that after acquisition of BOL company by Timeturns Holdings Limited in 2009, Timeturns came with new vision and mission, and opted to embark on the best new technology in GSM network for the benefit of the telecommunication industry and the Tanzanian public as a whole”.
Mr. Nizar Abdou continued by saying that “Since 2009, BOL staffs have been working tirelessly in rolling out the required infrastructure for our network to become fully operational. We therefore engaged the services of ZTE, one of the leading Chinese telecommunication companies in providing telecommunication equipments and network solutions. As part of ZTE mission, which is a dedication to creating value for customers and to remaining a cutting-edge provider with innovative and technologically advanced systems, Benson Informatics Limited will greatly benefit from this innovation hence improving the telecommunication sector in Tanzania as well”.
Also speaking at the same press conference Mr. Jackie Wong, Managing Director ZTE Co.(Tanzania) said “Today is a very important day for Benson Informatics Limited (BOL) and ZTE Tanzania. ZTE announced it has partnered with Timeturns Holdings Limited over Africa through Benson (BOL) in Tanzania to officially introduce commercial use of the country’s telecom network. The network allows subscribers access to high-speed wireless internet and voice”.
Mr Jackie Wong continued by saying that the newly developed network greatly improves user experience, dramatically reducing operating expenses. The joint project is a combination of flexible and efficient networking. As part of the agreement, ZTE provided BOL with data and voice solutions. The platform was then used to build a unified 2G/3G mobile network for the operator.
