The Gujarati Mandal of Calgary in Canada over the weekend organized a traditional Navratri Hindu festival, which is an annual event for Hindus to celebrate .
To record the grand festive mood of Hindus from all the corners of the World, who have made Calgary their new home after immigrating from India, UK, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Narendra Gajjar originally of Zanzibar, Tanzania , has captured the festival in these pictures, that also show that he still has the expert 'eye' and nimbleness of a great photographer he is since those good old days when he was working for the Daily News in Dar es salaam. He is also been a great inspiration to Ankal.
