Dear Tanzanians and Friends,
On behalf of the family of Rev. Francis & Mrs. Benadetha Karengi of Global Christian Center in St. Louis Missouri, USA, I am deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of Mrs. Basso Margwe Karengi who was the beloved mother of Rev. Francis Karengi. Mrs. Basso Karengi went to be with the Lord on Saturday February, 18th at 5:00am. The death was sudden but very peaceful and cause of death unknown. She went to sleep the previous night and never wake up again .The day before of her death she was on her regular routine cooking and visited her friends in a good mood. She was born in 1942 in Kilimamoja Division, Karatu District, Arusha, Tanzania.
The good news brothers and sisters is that our late mother was in love with Jesus and she knew His voice. So for now, she has just fallen asleep waiting for the coming of Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13).
The late mother left behind one daughter in-law Benadetha Karengi of St. Louis, Missouri; seven children: Rev. Francis of St. Louis, Missouri, and Hillary, Silverius, Karengi, Juliana, Veronica and Odulia all of Karatu,Arusha in Tanzania. She also left behind four grandchildren: Samuel, Joshua, Peter and John, all of St. Louis Missouri.
Funeral services arrangement is underway in Karatu, Arusha, Tanzania and we will keep you posted when finalized.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Basso Margwe Karengi will be held on Sunday February 26, 2012 at Global Christian Center located at 33 North Clay, Ferguson, Missouri 63135 at 4:00 pm. Please come and support Pastor Karengi and his Family during this difficult moment.
