U.S. AMBASSADOR SALUTES GOOD CITIZEN

On May 21, U.S. Ambassador Alfonso E. Lenhardt (second from right) presented a coin of excellence and a monetary award to Ms. Tunu Mapunda (front, second from left), an employee at the Double Tree Hilton hotel. The Ambassador lauded the employee as a "model citizen" for promptly returning to the U.S. Embassy items belonging to a recent visiting American official. The Ambassador's coin portrays the seal of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. and Tanzanian flag with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background to highlight the ties of friendship and cooperation between the United States of America and the United Republic of Tanzania.
