NBC Managing Director, Lawrence Mafuru Resigns

Dar es Salaam December 27, 2012.

NBC Tanzania wishes to confirm that after serving the bank as Managing Director since 1 June 2010, Lawrence Mafuru has with effect from 31 December 2012 decided to leave the bank to pursue other interests.

Upon the receipt of regulatory approval, we will make an announcement on Lawrence’s replacement.

The Board of NBC Tanzania wishes to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Mafuru for the contribution he made to NBC Tanzania since joining as Head of Treasury in August 2007 and in his role as Managing Director and at the same time wish him the best for the future.
