ReplyDeleteExcellent idea of archiving former leader's speeches. My only concern is that these speeches are not the former President's private property unless they were delivered in that capacity. They are public property and should be regarded as such. Public resources were utilized in their preparation and delivery. The majority were derivatives of national policies which once again, were prepared with public resources. No individual should benefit from such public goods.
it is a good idea to archive leaders speeches. What I know however is that these speeches are public property unless otherwise they were prepared and delivered in private capacity. Consequently no privet individual should benefit from the proceeds. Public resources were used in tehir preparation and delivery.

I agree. So what is missing here. I think is a Presidential Library. They need to start the Presidential Library to archive their speeches and other materials. These including gifts that they could not consume while they tenure in office. This idea will help for them to raise funds and proceeds could be donated to individuals who need help.
