This
is to inform those who are interested that there will be an information session
about a Master's Degree in Public Health Leadership (MPHL) which is planned to be held in Dar es salaam on October
21st and 22nd,
2014. There will be morning and afternoon sessions on October 21st
and Afternoon session on October 22nd, 2014.
This MPHL course is under the Canada's "Save The Mothers" program
that is designed in such a way that one can continue with his/her profession by
taking modular courses that run for 4 modules in two years.
The
Save the Mothers program offers this MASTER’S DEGREE IN PUBLIC HEALTH
LEADERSHIP at the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono Campus.
The
program is seeking working professionals in the fields of law, education,
politics, social sciences, clergy, media, health care, and others. It enhances
professional skills and influence that can be used to save mothers' lives.
This
year’s program will start in February 2015 with four modules. Each module is 4
weeks in length, and two modules are completed each year. This allows students
to study and continue working in their respective professions.
Curriculum
for this course focus on the basics of public health, social factors and legalities
as it relates to mothers’ health. It also gives leadership tools for
participants to impact mothers’ health from their sphere of influence and
profession.
