ReplyDeletenashukuru sana kwa picha ya huyo jamaa maana inanikumbusha nilipokuwa mdogo dah niliimaind kichizi ila ndo hivyo kuichukua na kuweka home huwezi. ila natamani kama roundabout yake ikapunguzwa kidogo then ikawekewa nguzo ngumu za zege ili kuilinda na madereva walevi wa bongo. kupunguza roundabout yake ni kufanya njia iwe pana kidogo angalau line mbili za magari kupita kwa pamoja.
true that Trio Kaka. Seeing this pic reminds me coming back from school.. back then most buses used to start their root at Stesheni and not Posta as it is now.
ReplyDelete..and of the later afternoon rush-hour jam. And cars fighting their way into the tight bound traffic. It's amazing how the daladala drivers could squeeze in a DCM (back when they were there - Mwenge route).
It took ages for drivers inexperienced with the city driving to get into and around the round about!!
This brings some fond memories of home.. a true mark of Dar.
But I'd like to pose a challenge or question to fellow blogers in here..
do you think that the askari monument which was errected to commemorate the native askaris that fought alongside the German colonials to hold off the british troops may be in a way an insult to our independence.. I mean fighting for one colonial master against another foreign inversion in a war that was of no interest to us?
