TANZANIA ASSOCIATION OF WICHITA FORM TWO ENGLISH ESSAY COMPETITION.
The Tanzania Association of Wichita is as association of Tanzanians and friends of Tanzanians living in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Our mission is to promote academic, cultural and social cohesiveness among members.
We also seek to create an extended family of Tanzanians to support each other in times of need and contentment.
Our objectives include :
(1) To be the primary source and distributor of any information pertinent to Tanzania and/or beneficial to Tanzanians especially those residing Wichita and/or Kansas.
(2) To promote mutual understanding among the members of the association and work together as a group for the advancement of Tanzanians.
(3) To promote and project a positive image of Tanzania and her cultural values. (4) To integrate with other associations and agencies worldwide that share similar objectives.
ESSAY TOPIC: THE PLIGHT OF ALBINOS IN TANZANIA
For many of Tanzania's albinos, life is nasty, brutish and short. Dogged by prejudice and social exclusion, they are discriminated against at school and at work. Their lives are often led in isolation. Every facet of their existence is affected by their peculiarity - and superstition surrounds their yellow hair, white skin and pale eyes. In recent months the media has reported on acts of violence against our fellow citizens.
Essay Instructions:
In a 1,000-word essay,
1. Discuss what the Tanzania society (government, media, business, and individuals) can do to discourage acts of violence against albinos.
2. Drawing on your analysis, recommend two or three specific measures that the Tanzania civic society could take to respond more successfully to these crimes.

Jimmy hongera kwa jitihada zako za kujali nyumbani. Mimi nilifikiri mtu kama Peter Nalitolela angekuwa wa kwanza kukuunga mkono hasa ikizingatia yupo Tanzania kama anavyosema(sina uhakika kama kweli yupo Bongo kutokana na "comments" zake!!). Tuambie Jimmy K(siyo M) amedanganya wapi maana hizi habari za unyanyasaji wa ma-albino anazisoma kwenye mtandao na zinatolewa na vyombo vya habari vya Bongo. Suala la kuwanyanyasa ma-albino tunaweza tukaliona ni dogo sasa hivi lakini baadaye watapoamua kuamka na kujibu mapigo hapo Bongo patakuwa padogo!! Uonevu una mwisho wake. Serikali na watanzania tusiweke pamba masikioni kwenye hili suala la uonevu kwa ma-albino!! Mungu Ibariki Tanzania.
