HIS HOLINESS Dr Syedna Mohamed Burhanuddin TUS Performed Chelum(40th Day of Martyrdom of Imam Husain (SA), the Grandson of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) in Karbala) that was held at Hakim masjid complex, Upanga on Sunday February 15,2009.
On the Revered occasion, His Holiness in his discourse narrated the tragic martyrdom of Imam Husain(SA) and also emphasised on the value of sacrifice to the cause of social justice and righteousness. His Holiness preached the faithfuls to be loyal citizens of the land of their abode.He also thanked His Excellency President Jakaya Kikwete and prayed for the prosperity and progress of the people of Tanzania. His Holiness discourse was video relayed live in over 700 Dawoodi Bohra centers all over the World.
