BISHOP’S PROFILE 

Bishop Peter M. Kitula

Bishop Kitula is the first bishop of Africa Inland Church Tanzania for Mara and Ukerewe Diocese. He is currently, a first Vice chairman of Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT). He was ordained to be a bishop of AICT in 1993.

Bishop Kitula took his higher Theological studies at Scott Theological College, Machokos, Kenya (Diploma in Theology, 1980) where he earned a B.A in Biblical Studies (CIU 1983) and at Colombia International University where he earned an M.A. in Missions (1984). He is also the author of Christian books which have been the great blessings to East Africa.

Bishop Kitula has worked as a lecturer at Majahida Bible School(1980-1982;1984-1986), a student Pastor of Mwanza Region (1987-1989), a Pastor of Chang’ombe Pastorate, Dar es Salaam (1989-1991), a Lecturer at Nassa Theological College, (1992-1993). He has been the Bishop of Mara & Ukerewe Diocese since November 1993.

The Lord has blessed Bishop Kitula and his wife Esther with eight children.
