SALAMA JABIR & GADNER G HABASH TAKE OVER MWANZA WITH ‘CONFUSION IN ROCK CITY”


This Saturday, August 22, 2009, all roads lead to Mwanza. ZM productions, with sponsorship from Air Tanzania Company Limited and Nyumbani Hotel & resorts will unveil the up and coming film ‘Confusion in Rock City’ to the selected few of Mwanza.


The movie stars major celebrities such as Salama Jabir, Gadner G Habash, Maunda Zorro and Mwanza’s own fresh talent, Vincent Kagame. The movie was shot in and around Mwanza. The premiere is an opportunity for the cast and crew to thank the people of Mwanza for their hospitality and support during the shooting of the film. It is also a perfect moment to celebrate the positive transformation Mwanza has undergone.


The premiere will take place at the newly opened Nyumbani Hotel & Resort, a classic new addition to the Rock City’s hospitality industry, located at NSSF Tower in the middle of Mwanza City. The launch will be officiated by the Regional Commissioner of Mwanza Hon. Abbas Kandoro and he will be accompanied by other dignitaries and sons of Mwanza.


The film is a tale about what happens when an imposter gatecrashes a 25 year reunion celebration of two brothers. “Confusion in Rock City” is a bench mark for film productions in Tanzania. The film showcases the beauty of Mwanza; the tranquil Lake Victoria, the magnificent rocks to the potential goldmines. Due its geographical location as a hub City for the Great Lakes and the East Africa Community block the diverse cultures found in Mwanza are also displayed. This movie was written by Ruge Mutahaba & Director Sama Janapour
‘Confusion in Rock City’ will be released to the general public in September 2009.

    I'm expecting proffesionalism is this moive, Most of Tanzania script writer do not do enough home work and eventullay we have gabage at the market,no reaserch are done when doing these projects.... We need challenging and entertaining movie.
