Join the Nyota Kali Band at Nyumba ya Sanaa where they will give performances geared at entertaining and educating the audience on the need to value one's roots.
Nyota Kali (Swahili for Bright Star), are Ambassadors of Modern Africa with their fusion of modern and traditional music styles, choreography and energetic performances that will cross borders.
Band consists of seven musicians/dancers who formed this group in August 2008 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The band’s main aim is to broadcast the need to develop the music network of Tanzania and Africa as a whole. They do this through their translation of dance & music, where they express their feelings and show the diverse culture of Tanzania through using in their songs the different languages from various Tanzanian tribes.
