Dear Ladies ( I do not have so many contacts in my e mail so perhaps you can also forward a few to the other ladies Thx!) I had this horrible ordeal today at the little Shrijees on the corner of Haille Selassie a 2pm!
I parked my car on the side parking (where the egg and chicken duka is). After shopping I put my goodies on the back seat, put my handbag IN the car and as I was getting into my car, I felt this pull on my left arm and saw this shadow - he stretched into my car and snatched my bag!!!
The 'get away' car was waiting for him - a SILVER SALOON SEDAN - TOYOTA (Mark 2 or Chaser.) Can only remember part of the license number plate T517. They sped off and at Funky Orbits they turned into the dirt road at Funky Orbit.
I reported the incident at Oyster Police Station - they were very kind and helpful - the officer on duty told me that this was the 3rd case that has been reported within the last two weeks. He very kindly gave me his cell No. and told me to phone him at anytime should I spot this car I was assured by him..... "We' ll get them, Mama"
Please ladies, be vigilant, take care - fortunately I had no dollars and only about Tsh 80 000/ but ALL our debit and ATM cards (local SA and off shore) Fortunately no cheque books, passports etc. Just the inconvenience
Regards Mdau E

  2. I am very sorry for you and for all other ladies who were mugged like you.

    Solution:
I think our police are not in any position to solve this anbiquous problem. The only thing to be done is the so called self defence ( just shoot those dogs if it happened to possess any kind of bunduki)

  3. why the officer gave you his cell number? is the cell belongs to the police hence its work cell?
