At least 160 people aboard an Air India plane were killed when the aircraft crashed after it overshot a hilltop runway near the southern Indian city of Mangalore early Saturday, officials said.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft carrying 160 passengers and six crewmembers burst into flames, the Times of India reported.
The plane was flying from Dubai and trying to land around 6 a.m. local time when it overshot the runway, which ends in a valley.
The plane hit a fence and went beyond the boundary wall of the airport, according to the Press Trust of India.

Emirates poa sana, pia KLM, Air Canada (one of the planes siku moja ilianza kurudi nyuma kumbe kuna abiria alikuwa amechelewa kidogo then ikarudi kumchukua kwanza, sijawahi kuona), BA na Cathay Pacific. Air India, China and a few more, yaani siwaamini hata kidogo! Japo kama imeandikwa imeandikwa tu.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Emirates is the best of course followed by Swiss Air. Hizi zingine kama KLM na nini watu tunapanda for the sake of route convenience tu. Sema shida Emirates chakula chao sio kizuri wakati watu kama KLM mlo wao si haba.

ReplyDeleteUshauri ni kuwa, unaposafiri hasa kwa ndege ujue kuwa una paasenti chache sana ya kupona mara ndege inapoachanna na ardhi. Unakuwa nusu mfu mpaka pale itakapogusa tena ardhi. Wanaopona katika ajali za angani ni mirakooz. Si kwa sababu ya umaridadi wa shirika la ndege. Sali na utubu dhambi zako sana kabla ya safari ya ndege kwani ni nafasi nzuri ya kujiandaa kabla ya kufa.
