Investors will only come to Tanzania if we have good transportation networks, pro-business government, rule of law, educated workforce, good health care and dependable markets.

So far, we have none of the above. As a Tanzanian investor, I was often frustrated with the red-tapes and corruption, immature and carefree workforce and above all insecurity. I closed my business after 5 years of arrival and vowed never to return again. I lost $100,000. I have learned a valuable lesson: If you want to be successful in Africa, you MUST share your hard-earned revenue with corrupted government officers. Now i make less income but sleep better after a long sleepless nights while i was in Tanzania.
