Revs. Vernon and Anny FernandesThe Omega Global University from South Africa has conferred to the Founders of World Agape Ministries, Revs. Vernon and Anny Fernandes, Degree of Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa).
The degree was conferred upon them following their distinguished contribution to the society of the people of Tanzania. It is indeed an honor given to them for their eminent and dedicated contributions to have found Agape Television Network which is the first Christian Television Station in Tanzania, for winning souls of the people of Tanzania and Africa at large via the broadcast media.
Also they founded Agape Life Church due to the demand of television viewers and the Mercy Ministries, to help those who are in need. The degree was conferred to them by the OGU's President, Apostle Prof. V.N. Sibiya.The ceremony took place in Dar-es-Salaam.
Both Apostle Dr. Vernon Fernandes, born and brought up in Tanzania and Senior Pastor Dr. Anny Fernandes, born and bred in Malaysia, are appreciative for this honor granted to them and that from South Africa they have seen the work done here in Tanzania.
They give back all glory to God for this honor. Upon receiving the award they said, "You loose nothing when you serve God with all your heart and with all diligence as it pays off! Further all hard work brings to a profit so there are no losses in serving Him". All the members of Agape Life Church (ALC) and ATN viewers across the country are delighted that they have received this honorary Degree of Divinity and considered it richly deserved.
