Future Century Sports Limited, through its parent company has organised a fundraising Gala dinner on the 26th March, 2011 for the Zanzibar National Football Team with an objective of raising $ 200,000 which will assist to manage, maintain, develop, promote and sustain the Zanzibar National Football Team, Zanzibar Heroes.

The event has been embraced on both a local and international spectrum, where the President of SuperSports Africa will personally be at the event and his crew and team will fly in from Kenya to record the event and aired it on DSTV which will be seen in over 48 countries in Africa.

The event will be held at The Zanzibar Beach Resort with his Excellency Hon. Dr. Ali Mohammed Shein as the Guest of Honour. This exclusive event looks at involving stakeholders, supporters and sponsors of Zanzibar Football and Zanzibar Heroes through involving them in the annual plan which shall be presented during the dinner.

Future Century Sports Limited believes that, towards the end of dinner, all initiatives and events will have a sponsor allocated. Future Century Sports Limited believe that this shall be a platform to create a long term participative engagement and sponsorship that will develop and promote Zanzibar Heroes to international competitive standards.

Future Century Sports Limited recognize the importance of the government and government institutions when it comes to developing sports, in particularly football, and developing young talent and have taken an initiative to involve the government as much as possible. Future Century Sports Limited refers to a quote by Juan Antonio Samaranch, the past president- International Olympic Committee “Whoever said football had nothing to do with politics made a great mistake”.

The official sponsor is the People’s Bank of Zanzibar, who has been very much involved from the initial stages of the fundraising gala dinner. Other governmental institutions that have sponsored include; Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC), Zanzibar Ports Authority, ZSSF.

Future Century Sports Limited also acknowledges the input of private organisations in holding the torch in matters of youth development and national movement and we inspire to motivate them to contribute more in their corporate social responsibility plans.

Many private organisations have sponsored towards this event and Future Century Sports Limited acknowledges Zantel, Clouds TV and Radio, Zanzibar Beach Resort, Seaforth Agency, Tanzania Distilleries Limited as sponsors of the event. Moreover, Future Century Sports Limited has many supporters which include Explore Zanzibar, Vayle Springs as sponsors of this event.

The extensive guest list includes Vodacom, Cosmos, METL, Multi-Choice Tanzania who have also donated a PVR Decoder which will be rewarded to the highest bidder, and Ministries from both Zanzibar and the mainland.

The team has been working extremely hard to ensure the success of the event.
