The renowned Greek classic play, Antigone, will soon hit Dar es Salaam stages in an exciting and innovative production. The collaboration will involve actors from both countries and will have the added creative production flavor from both a Swedish producer and a Tanzanian producer.
The play will be staged both in Tanzania and Sweden, with a total of 32 performances, four of which will be in Tanzania. The first performance in Dar es Salaam is slated for 21 Sept at Waterfront NSSF, followed by one on 22 Sept at the Russian Culture Centre. A special student production will be staged at Loyola High School on 23 Sept and the final performance will be at the Bagamoyo Art Festival on 25 Sept.
