As we celebrate a revolutionary journey towards launch of home series ‘Hadithi Nne Animation Film Project’, we are keen to share our experience with the general public in utilizing local skills and talents in developing impeccable education solutions to address local challenges through digital animation.

Produced by local artists and digital animation film experts, the Hadithi Nne Animation Film Project is a collection of four original stories based in Swahili idioms.

Education to the entire family is at the heart of these Swahili animation films. Our major thrust is to engage the entire family in a unique learning experience.

The films set the stage on how Swahili stories can be told to the world in our own unique way and educate our children and young people across the world in a highly entertaining way.

Here, the Swahili culture is exposed to the whole family thus producing an all inclusive viewing experience where by both parents and kids can sit and watch without much a hullabaloo.

As such, Hadithi Nne Animation Films project underlines one of our core value of promoting local initiatives that instill and nurture essential skills in creative industry leadership, as well as create opportunities for industry practitioners to collaborate and produce relevant solutions to common problems through digital media.

The crew includes seven students that work under five local digital animation experts. This approach has created one of its kind multimedia education model that delivers world class education, industry experience and unique exposure to strategic entrepreneurial challenges relevant to the local industry.

This project has already shown great potential to promote local animation industry internationally, promote Swahili language and culture as well as contribute effectively in building a sustainable creative industry in Tanzania.

For instance,‘ZaMwizi 40 Animated Film’ was recently showcased at the ZIFF2011 Stage as well
as Children Panorama, stimulating a lot of interest on how films can engage and educate children to become responsible citizens, while at the same time promote Swahili language at the world stage.

As a result there is worlwide interest to screen the film in Asia, Europe and Carribean film festivals.

The production phase of this project which include a wide variety of educational and entertaining multimedia experiences is expected to be completed mid August 2011.

Anaeli, I am sure not many people know the impact of such a project. For one, the only way we can boost local production talent is starting from animation. The content is enhanced locally as are the appropriate themes for appropriate audiences. I wish you all the best in this endeavor. keep up being innovative - it inspires a lot.
