Swahili Fashion Week, The eastern and cental Africa largest event, this year(2011) was held at the National museum Dar es Salaam Tanzania, successfully ended with flying Colours where it has exchanged the programe with Mozambique Fashion Week

In its fourth year now Swahili Fashion Week has maintained the relationship with Mozambique Fashion Week in the exchange programs and yet again two designers chosen for this years exchange program to represent Swahili Fashion Week starting on the 2nd -10th of December in Maputo Mozambique, Ailinda Sawe who won an award in the category of “LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT “and Robi Morrow.

“We as Swahili Fashion Week are so proud and honored to be part of Mozambique fashion week, Designers, Robi Morro and Ailinda Sawe will not only be representing Swahili Fashion Week in Mozambique Fashion Week, but also represent our country Tanzania as we are celebrating 50 years of indepence now by showing their creativity and designs which are Made from Tanzania”, Said Owner and Founder of Swahili Fashion Week Mustafa Hassanali.

Swahili Fashion Week has been doing an exchange programs with Mozambique Fashion week for the past two years now,where designers like Jamilla Vera Swai and Manju Msita were chosen to represent Swahili Fashion Week in the Mozambique Fashion weeks.

“Swahili fashion week aims at promoting, exposing and marketing designers products to different parts of Africa and worldwide. African Fashion industry needs to be recognized and placed in the world map “,added Mustafa Hassanali.

Various events have been planned towards the build up of the fashion week, starting next year 2012 as concluded this year with the exchange program in Mozambique.
