The renowned pan African designer, Mustafa Hassanali, and the ONLY designer from Tanzania was among 77 fashion designers from six continents of the world who showcased their collection in Arise Magazine Fashion Week (AMFW) in Lagos, Nigeria.

The name of the collection, AFRIKALOS is derived from two words, “Afri” shortened version of Africa and “kalos” is Greek word which means beauty. AFRIKALOS has been inspired by the sight, sounds, rhythm, vibrancy and vivaciousness which truly defines the beauty of our motherland, Africa.

 The inspiration of chaotic Colour coordination and amalgamation of various textures of fabric and prints, which defines exotic meets eclectic version of innovation that is truly in motion.

Arise magazine Fashion week is Mustafa Hassanali second international showcase in the first quarter of 2012 after Bangalore Fashion week in first week of February this year.

Pan African designer, Mustafa Hassanali pursues fashion as a religion. His personable and affable demeanor in parallel with his bohemian works of art have made him Tanzania’s premier and most celebrated designer. With an A-list clientele of Tanzanian society, Hassanali is considered a fashion guru, with his designs reflecting his deeply embedded cultural Cosmopolitan heritage along with his clean couture contemporary styles.

Mustafa Hassanali, who having showcased in 15 Countries Globally in 24 Cities and also named One of Africa’s Top Male Fashion designer by UK’s NEW AFRICAN WOMAN, has just been selected by the minister of youth information, Culture and Sports as a steering committee member for the selection of Tanzania National attire.

Mustafa’s work has been highly appreciated at international levels.
