Dear Tanzanians and Friends,
The Mung’ong’o family of Palos Hills, Illinois, USA is saddened to announce the death of their beloved husband, father, grandpa, cousin and uncle, Gendelimage George Mung’ong’o, which occurred on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at John Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Mungongo fought a good fight of faith while undergoing cancer treatment till his death. He knew Jesus and he was a friend of Jesus throughout his life. His contagious joy of the Lord, touched many people and many of them came to know Jesus through him. Many people were encouraged and inspired into things of God. Glory to God.
Mr. Mungongo left behind his beautiful wife Martina, 4 children, Lusungu (Amber), Kangarage KCG (Jennifer), Sylvia and Rainald (Alise), grandchildren (Malikia, Myles and Elijah) many nieces and nephews his mother (Rosina), two sisters (Margreth, and Theckla) and one brother ( Patrick).
Funeral arrangements have been finalized and Mr. Mung’ong’o will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 9, 2011. As follows below:

VISITATION
The visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Parish, 8245 W. 111th St. Palos Hills, IL 60465 between 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM CST on June 9, 2012.
MEMORIAL SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at Sacred Heart Parish, 8245 W. 111th St. Palos Hills, IL 60465 between 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM CST on June 9, 2012.
BURIAL SERVICES
Burial services will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 7201 Archer Avenue, Justice, IL 60458 between 12.00 PM to 1.00 PM CST.
REPAST:
To conclude the events of the day, we will gather for repast to celebrate the life of George Mung’ong’o at a venue to be determined from 2PM to 6PM CST.
