"As a native New Yorker, I am especially pleased to welcome back to Tanzania these supremely talented dancers from New York City. They serve as global ambassadors of goodwill, inspiring youth in every country they visit." the Ambassador said. The NYBDC will offer "Dancing to Connect" (DtC) clinics and workshops in Dar es Salaam in partnership with 100 youth participants between the ages of 15 and 20 from the Baba wa Watoto Parapanda Theater Lab Trust, Tanzania House of Talent (THT), and International School of Tanganyika (IST). Dance workshops will take place at the National Museum Dance Studio, Slipway Studio, IST Dance Studio, and The Little Theater from September 10 to 15 2012. The NYBDC's visit will culminate with a major performance for up to 450 people at the National Museum House in Dar es Salaam on September 15 from 7:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. All members of the public are welcome and entrance is free.
