At last thirty under thirty years young African best entrepreneurs for 2013 have been named with only single young entrepreneur from Tanzania featuring in the list.

According to the list released over the weekend by Forbes, a leading source for reliable business news and financial information for the World's Business Leaders indicated 30 young African entrepreneurs, disruptor and innovators who are impatient to change the continent.

Patrick Ngowi (28), Chief Executive Officer for Helvetic Solar Contractors was the only Tanzanian listed among outstanding entrepreneurs and innovators under the age of 30.

Speaking in an exclusive with in Dar es Salaam, Ngowi acknowledge the good news saying his honoured to be on the Forbes list of fewer than 30 Best Entrepreneurs in Africa.

“This goes to show that Tanzanian economy is growing and that its policies support small and medium business start-ups. I hope this will inspire more of my fellow youth to follow their dream and maintain peace and harmony through engaging in their work with absolute commitment,” he said.

Ngowi the first Tanzania to feature on Forbes was selected following his contribution in the local economy as Entrepreneur, he a applauded President Jakaya Kikwete and his government for the incentives towards renewable energy for rural electrification in the country.

Before he had set up Helvetic Solar Contractors, he started off selling Chinese mobile phones, but when he discovered that a tiny fraction of Tanzanians enjoyed any access to stable and reliable electricity, he knew he had to rectify the problem.

Currently, his company supplies, installs and maintains solar systems throughout the Northern Circuit of Tanzania, with last year recording about US$3million revenues.

30 young African entrepreneurs, disruptors and innovators featured on the list cut across Real Estate, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Media, Tech, and Green tech, Healthcare, Agriculture and Fashion.

Altogether, they’re solving problems like healthcare and electricity shortages, proffering innovative solutions to waste management, building virtual and physical communities and creating lots of jobs. A few of them are manufacturing foods, designing exquisite clothing for women and some are developing some cool apps for mobile phones across Africa.

Information from Forbes.com said a panel of 12 judges from across Africa helped to identify the group in November last year.

Among others listed in the list includes real estate developer and CEO of Propertuity based in South Africa, Jonathan Liebmann (28), Kenyan Green Tech Entrepreneur and EcoPost Founder, Lorna Rutto (28), 4Di Group Founder & CEO from South Africa, Justin Stanford (28), and Rapelang Rabana (28), CEO and founder of Yeigo Communications in South Africa.

Others are Kimiti Wanjaria & Ian Kahara, Kenyan Founders, of Serene Valley Properties, 26years’ Evans Wadongo, Kenyan Chairman of SDFA –Kenya, South African Founder of Headboy Industries, Ludwick Marishane (21), Cosmas Ochieng (26), Kenyan Founder of Ecofuels Kenya and Eric Muthomi (26) Kenyan Stawi Foods & Fruits Founder.

    Katika umri wako mdogo wa miaka 28 tu umeweza kuibeba na kuipeperusha vema Bendera ya Tanzania.

    Kijana ameonyesha moyo wa kuwatakia mafanikio wenzake nchini hivyo inatakiwa Ndg.Ngowi apewe ushirikianao kwa nia yake njema na sio tena Kutumia Siasa na mielekeo mingine kukwamisha jitihada zake.

    Kweli umenena, ngono au mapenzi ni sehemu ya maisha lakini ukiona watu wengi wamekwama tazama mwenendo wao ulikuwaje huwezi kukuta tofauti na vitu viwili 1.NGONO, na 2.MAPENZI.

    Ohooo hamuoni watu walipata kufanikiwa kimaisha wakijikuta wanatembea huku wakiongea peke yao baada ya kukwama?
