Ambassador Lenhardt addresses GIST U S - East Africa Startup Workshop

U.S. ambassador to Tanzania Alfonso E. Lenhardt addresses young East African technology entrepreneurs attending U.S. Department of State-sponsored Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Startup Boot Camp held at the Blue Pearl Hotel in Dar es Salaam on May 7th, 2013. Ambassador Lenhardt reiterated American people's commitment to partner with African youth in their aspirations to open up businesses, expand trade within their countries and with other nations, and through it ensure that African communities, especially those most in need - benefit from the capital generated by Africans. The Boot camp organized by Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DBTi), brought together more than 100 young East African technology entrepreneurs from six nations to build their capacities to translate innovative technology ideas into new products and companies.
