Dear all,
I am delighted  to  present  this  important  website www.newdealafrica.co.uk  as  a  reference  guide  to  what   the Tanzania Diaspora  can offer socially ,  culturally,  politically  but   above  all economically. This  site  offers  a  wealth  of  information  and  acts  like  a  bridge  between  the  Diaspora, our motherland  and  the international  community.
Did  you  know  that  Tanzania is  a  very  special  destination ,not  only  for  the  diversity of  tourism  products it  has ,but  also  for  its  special  emphasis on  sustainable  and  responsible tourism. Our Tourism is commended for being   economically viable, financially profitable, environmentally sustainable, and socio-culturally acceptable?.But somehow this  kind  of information is  lost  in  translation abroad. That’s  why  we  feel  we  should  get  involved  to  supplement  on  the  good  efforts   done   by   all  stakeholders .Africa  has  54 countries  but  President  Barrack  Obama  chose    to  come Tanzania  because  its  a  good  country  to  deal  with in  business  terms. Obama’s week-long tour of the continent is a landmark happening. The question now is whether we can use Obama’s tour as a catalyst for effective action to address the difficulties that face the continent. We  have  to  capitalise  on  that. “I’m calling for America to up our game when it comes to Africa,” Mr. Obama said in a speech at the University of Capetown in South Africa, midway through his weeklong tour of the continent. “We want to unleash the power of entrepreneurship and markets to create opportunity here in Africa.”
That’s why we  take  a  stand and   be  counted. We need to market our Country and its products. We need trade not aid.
In  the  circumstance, I  would  like  to  announce  the  Tanzania  Convention  UK  chapter and  Tanzania  Trade  and  investment  Forum  to  take  place  this  December  in  London. The  main  purpose  of  this  convention   not  only  is  it  to  bring  together ,  but  also  to  present  a  unique  opportunity  to connect  our  country’s  decision  makers with  the  best policy  advice, informed  by  credible analytical  work and  the  relevant experiences and  views of  over  1,000 participants  from  Tanzania  and  the  rest  of  the  world.
The  Tanzania  convention UK  chapter   is  more  than just  a  series  of  meetings; its  a  valuable  process of   agreeing on  an  action  plan  whose  work  continues  long  after  the  Forum  ends ,in  various  settings  at  national  and international  levels. Africans are not new to public dialogue and communal problem-solving.  I am ‘my sister’s keeper’.  Therefore, I share a responsibility to look after fellow Africans and to help find solutions that will benefit our continent as much as my own home country.
Of  course  much  work  remains  to  be  done   in  order  to  position  ourselves  to   realise our  full  potential as  the  Diaspora ,  but   remember even  a  journey  of  a  thousand  miles  starts with  a  single step.
We are  very  keen and  committed  to  support   and  develop  Tanzania  together  and  we  welcome  any suggestions  and  partnerships .To  register kindly send  your  emails  to newdealafrica@yahoo.co.uk
Lastly  ,  I  would  like  to  welcome  you  to  Tanzania  ,  the  home  of  peace  and  stability and  also  the  home  of  Kilimanjaro,  Serengeti  and  Zanzibar.
Karibu Tanzania
Thank you
 Yours respectfully
ENZY LARUSAI
Chairperson
