The visiting Tanzanian Defence Chief, General Davis Adolf Mwamunyange and his seven member delegation, who are on a week familiarisation tour of Zimbabwe’s military and economic institutions, this Tuesday afternoon paid a courtesy call on the Head of Sate and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe at his Munhumutapa offices.
General Mwamunyange was accompanied by his Zimbabwean counterpart, General Constantine Chiwenga and other military officials.
Speaking to journalists after meeting President Mugabe, General Mwamunyange said listening to Cde Mugabe speak is like listening to a talking encyclopedia.
He said President Mugabe went down memory lane, discussing the sharing of trenches of the people of Southern Africa and Tanzania and today’s challenges.
