Hey there,
Does music have the same effect on you that it has one me?
Often times when words fail, music expresses what the heart
feels.
I believe in its power to change people. I also
believe in its power to soothe one’s soul because music
bypasses the mind and speaks to your heart. Music has the
power to produce a kind of happiness that human nature can’t
live without.
Music is magical to me.
I love how one can sing a very
beautiful melody about a terrible life situation but in the
process get some wisdom and encouragement to keep the faith.
It’s the equivalent of turning lead into gold.
Did I choose music or did music choose me? That I really
don’t know but it has me in its warm embrace.
Since you last heard from me, I’ve been promoting my album
“Lovebird” via interviews with local and international
media. I have performed with the Tinton Band in New York
City as well as other venues like the United Nations. I taught
a Soukouss Dance master class and I even had time to speak
at high schools and colleges about what it's like to be a
global citizen and the kind of leadership required in a changing
world.
On my birthday 2 months ago, I got to swim and
interact with a pod of wild dolphins in South Florida.
The biggest highlight so far has been a recent invitation to
attend the first ever, AFRIMMA Awards (African Music
Magazine).
I have been nominated for 'Best Female, Diaspora'
among some of my favorite Artists. What an honor! I'm so
happy, grateful and humbled.
I would love your vote. Please click on the link below to
