The Tanzania Tourist Board was in the UK to launch a series of events related to the promotion of Tourism In Tanzania at Sunderland FC. The day also saw the launch of ‘a holiday of a lifetime’ campaign to visit Tanzania .
The day saw Sunderland players wearing special t-shirts ahead of the home draw with Chelsea as part of the club's partnership with Tanzanian Tourist Board.
The Black Cats took to the field in the pre-game warm up sporting shirts emblazoned with the ‘Visit Tanzania’ logo as part of the partnership.
SAFC has already developed close links with Tanzania, through providing technical and practical support to the development of the football academy project, the first of its kind in the country.
The project will see thousands of youngsters benefit from a joined up approach combining football, education and community engagement, harnessing the knowledge and expertise of Sunderland AFC and its own successful Academy.
Present at the event was the Tanzania High Commissioner HE Peter Kallaghe ,the Chairperson of the board of Governors of TTB ,TTB’s Marketing Manager Devota Mdachi and other members of TTB team
