April 11th is the Global Day of Prayer when Tanzanians and Friends worldwide will be praying for our beloved country Tanzania and its beautiful people. Those who live in America or Canada have the privilege to come together in Chicago at the Prayer Summit and cry out to God to intervene, to heal our country Tanzania. The beauty is that Jesus Christ is the healer!
This Prayer Summit is not a prayer workshop, a prayer seminar or a prayer conference where you come and sit all day long to learn about prayer. This is a Prayer Summit. Whoever is coming to Chicago for the Prayer Summit should know that he/she is coming to give in prayer, to be on their knees and standing in the gap in prayer for the country we love, Tanzania and its people wherever they are. The prayer will be an 8-hour run from 8am to 4pm and then from 4pm to 5pm for snacks/refreshments/light meal. We will have short breaks between sessions. Everyone coming to Chicago is coming to war, a spiritual war. It’s an 8 hour run on empty tummies. How about that? You need to come fully prepared with full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) so that you can fight the good fight of faith with diligence and endurance.
All TGPM members are asked to fast for seven (7) days before the Prayer Summit. So starting from Easter Sunday on April 5th to Saturday April 11th. The Prayer Summit will be the climax of the 7-days fast.
