AAR Insurance Tanzania Ltd celebrates the world environment day by involving in several environmental actions, doing cleanness along Kimweri Road, cleaning sewage channels, and removing all the abounded trashes along the road.
Speaking during the event, AAR Insurance Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Amisa Juma said, “Being one of the leading companies in Health Insurance and major contributors in Health services in the country, it is our obligation and duty to show the society how environment is vital to the human health and life”.
Mrs. Juma added “We can say we have saved human life today because, the place was neglected with loaded sewage systems, trashes thrown along the road which could cause several diseases like Malaria and Diarrhea, we needed to show the community that, it is possible to make their place a better one instead of abandoning it and only take blame to the government”.
“However we can still urge the local government as well to take care of their areas and make sure the first and major thing to acknowledge before anything should be health of the people they are leading because without it poverty is inevitable”. Concluded Mrs. Juma.
Since 1972, World Environment Day has been celebrated annually on 5th of June and it has also been UN major action to ensure proper awareness of the environment and encourage political attention.
