The annual Women In Film Awards held on June 16th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event honors extraordinary Women actors, directors, film makers and producers whose works excelled from the previous year.
The strict invitation only event sponsored by various movie/entertainment studios and global luxury brands, such as Tiffany and BMW drew many women from the industry, including Nicole Kidman, Phylicia Rashad, Sandra Bullock, Kate Mara, Regina King, and Ava DuVernay, who directed the recent movie SELMA.
One of the more colorful invitees and the youngest on the red carpet was 12 year old film maker - Zuriel Oduwole.
Decked in her full length "Made in Nigeria" Little Weavers dress and colorful deck summer shoes to match, she was called severally by global media magazine photographers, who all wanted the best picture angle of this budding film maker, and the only direct invitee from Africa.
As she left the stage, she was called back again, and dazzled in her colorful regalia, flashing her innocent pleasant smile, that only a 12 year old could manage at such a high society evening event.
