Owners of imported used cars in Tanzania have something to  smile this time around after the Japanese used car exporter, Be Forward, announced the establishment of lower cost dealership of spare parts in all regions in Tanzania.

Be Forward President Hironori Yamakawa announced this in Dar es Salaam yesterday during the climax of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (SabaSaba) at the Nyerere Grounds, Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking during the press briefing held at the Be Forward Pavilion, Yamakawa said, initially, the company was already established branch in Arusha and will soon establish the Dar es Salaam branch.

He said owners of popular used Japanese cars including Passo, Noah and IST will benefit from the new development, as many were find more difficult to find cheaper spare parts and accessories. “We expect to start importing massive use spare parts to Tanzania at the very affordable prices,” he said.
He said they have tried to visit other dealers of used spare parts and find many were selling as a higher price as he believe that their prices will be affordable and accessible any part of the country.

Be Forward is one of the popular exporters of used car globally and in Tanzania alone, according to Yamakawa, more than 20,000 used vehicle are imported to Tanzania monthly. This makes the annual used cars consignment to Tanzania to hit 240,000 cars annually. He said the plan was to increase the number to 25,000 cars monthly, making Be Forward the leading importers of used Japanese cars.

According to Yakamawa, the company was also looking to contract dealers countrywide, who will be responsible for distributing their products in Tanzania.Meanwhile, Be Forward Company has unveiled Platinum Utra Smooth Driving lubricants in Tanzania market. Speaking during the launch of the product, Hironori Yamakawa, the company President said this is the new product in the market. The new product is for both gasoline and diesel fuel cars engines.
