On behalf of Agape
Television Network and World Agape Ministries, it is my privilege and pleasure
to welcome you all to this special occasion we have today.
I am honored this
morning to stand before you to briefly share about the official launch of our new
programs on Agape Television Network.
Agape Television Network was founded and
began broadcasting 14 years ago today on September 2001. It is an Educational
and Inspirational Channel in Tanzania.
Agape Television
Network has ever since then impacted our society within Tanzania and across
borders throughout all of Africa where it is watched.
Our heart is truly to
serve our society around us. We exist to meet the needs of our people and to be
a blessing to our viewers.
With the Digital migration, ATN is watched
within 10 Terrestrial sites, all over Tanzania via DTH platform, in over 42
African countries via AMOS 5 satellite, via Cable TV Networks and reaching to
over 400,000 homes.
Through research and
development, along with major requests from our viewers; we have taken the next
strategies to launch new programming which will meet the needs and benefit our
viewers even further. Our top requests were for football programs, music and
local news.
For our news
programs, we have established our network with reporters from various regions
who will be able to provide us with ‘breaking news’ and also for the coming
election campaign.
Furthermore, 24
community radio stations in Tanzania are working hand in hand and will be
rebroadcasting our news and the football matches.
Hence I am proud to announce that we are
officially launching the following new programs which are:
English Premier League (EPL)
UEFA European Champions League
La Liga
News
Top 10 Gospel Music
I thank you all for
coming out today, lets join hands together in bringing economical changes in
our country by using this media, Agape Television Network. I encourage you to
take the next step uniting together with us in making positive inspirational and
