This is Frederick Mwakalebela, the new Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) General Secretary. He will take up his new post on June 15, this year after finishing up with Mtibwa Sugar, where he was employed as Human Resources Manager.

He takes up the post on a two-year contract basis from Asheri Gasabile whose term was terminated prematurely by the federation executive committee in December last year.

Before the appointment, Mwakalebela was the human resources manager with Mtibwa Sugar Company and caretaker of Mtibwa Sugar Football Club, the position he has been holding since 2001.

Mwakalebela's name bounced up from three names brought forward to the TFF executive committee by the KGMP Company from a pool of 19 candidates who applied for the post.

In both interviews, Mwakalebela was highly rated.

He holds a Masters Degree in business administration from Mzumbe University, and has 11 years' experience in soccer management at various levels.

He also holds a diploma in management studies from the UK Institute of Commerce, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from Professional Training Centre in Botswana and an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration also from Mzumbe.

Among soccer management positions he is holding to date include the Chairmanship of the Mvomero District Football Association and that of a committee overseeing Morogoro Regional football team.
